Fairey Hunting

Infamous street artist leaves his mark around Austin

We started noticing these haunting  faces around town a few weeks ago. They are part of street artist Shepard Fairey’s iconic portfolio. He rose to prominence for his “Hope” poster created for then Democratic nominee Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. The most widely recognized face is one of Pro Wrestling’s Andre the Giant.

We’ve tried digging around for confirmation of who actually wheat pasted the images, but have come up empty handed. Here are a few spots highlighted, but if you find anymore be sure to tag us on Instagram: @shedbarber
